[Update: Because this post reports spending figures in terms of the NGFO+WEIA, the original figures below double-count an appropriation from the general fund to the WEIA. I’ve striken the incorrect figures.]
On Friday, the House passed a supplemental operating budget that would increase appropriations in 2019–21 by $1.220 $1.178 billion (from funds subject to the outlook and the workforce education investment account, or NGFO+WEIA). This would bring 2019–21 appropriations up to $54.093 $54.052 billion, which is $64.9 $46.5 million higher than the budget passed by the Senate. The chart below compares policy changes in the two budgets.
