In 2015, agricultural production in Washington was valued at $10.7 billion (up from $10.2 billion in 2014). According to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), this is a record high. Also, "Record high values of production were established for four of the top ten Washington commodities, including apples, cattle and calves, eggs, and hops."

Apples continue to be the state's number one commodity, with a value of $2.4 billion. Further, as NASS notes, "Much of the increase in the total value of production can be attributed to the record high value of apples which increased 27 percent from 2014."

The second-highest valued commodity is milk, at $1.1 billion. Milk's value of production declined by 30 percent in 2015.

The table below is from the NASS press release.
