Yesterday the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the results of a survey that asked businesses how they have changed their operations due to the pandemic. The results are available by industry, establishment size, and state. I’ve pulled some interesting points in the table below.

Notably, Washington ranks third among the states in the percentage of establishments that experienced a government-mandated closure. Washington ranks 35^th among the states in the percentage of establishments that received a coronavirus-related loan or grant tied to rehiring or maintaining payroll.

Of Washington establishments, 33.0% increased telework, the eighth most among the states. Additionally, in Washington, 12.6% of establishments had difficulty in moving goods, 55.7% experienced a decrease in demand, and 38.2% experienced a shortage of supplies.
