Open enrollment for purchasing health care insurance through Washington's exchange ended Sunday. (Unfortunately, the Exchange doesn't provide an exact number, so I can't yet update my enrollment chart.) Also,

The number of plans selected is nearly 25 percent higher than those selected in open enrollment last year, with approximately 39,000 more customers signed up for coverage this year than in 2015.

The final enrollment figures will be tallied after insurance companies have time to bill the last people to sign up for insurance and after the final weekend problems are resolved, [Exchange spokesman Michael] Marchand said.
