A bittersweet, and belated, announcement: Kriss Sjoblom, our research director and economist, retired at the end of last year. He had been with the Research Council for 30 years.

During his time here, he was a member of the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors and served on the Commission on State Debt. He was also active with the Governmental Research Association (GRA), a national organization of which the Research Council is a member. The GRA honored Kriss with its Gruenberg Award for lifetime achievement last year.

We already miss Kriss’s tax policy expertise, but we wish him a very happy retirement!
