Monthly employment report for Washington: unemployment rate falls to 7.3 percent while the state loses 5,500 jobs

The Employment Security Department’s Monthly Employment Report was released this morning. The preliminary estimate for March puts the state’s unemployment rate at 7.3%, down from 7.5% in February. Preliminary estimate: Washington added 4,000 jobs in February

This morning the employment security department released preliminary estimates for February showing that the state added 4,000 jobs (seasonally adjusted) in February, 3,600 in the private sector and 400 in government. The preliminary estimate of the February unemployment rate is 7.5%. The estimate of the January job gain was revised upward by 100, to 24,200. […]
